Who am I?

Growing up a small town girl, Zaria is originally from a small town called Shelby, MS. With nothing but an imagination and a dream, Zaria carried passion in her hands like a handbag, so natural, and so chic! Her discovery of dance came at the ripe age of 11 years old, and at that very moment, she knew what her life’s work would be for the rest of her life. Fueled by a new found love, Zaria excelled in her technique, pushing herself to be better everyday. She defended dance with her heart because it meant something so special to her. Most of her peers started their careers before they even understood the concept of dance, so Zaria therefore remained a bit - too humble - not truly believing in herself. Nonetheless she has a dream - something on the same caliber as Martin Luther King - Zaria envisioned a company, one where men and women, young and old, experienced or rookie, would be invited to experience and further the passion she has for the art of dance. As she works toward her dream, she continues her studies at Austin Peay State University, where she became President of Fuse Dance Entertainment, and was then gifted the name Nova - representing who she is as a dancer. Nova continues to perform in many shows, ranking up in experience in order to become the dancer she dreams of.
